The Vicksburg YMCA Easter Sunrise is back for an in-person event at the Vicksburg National Military Park.

The community event will be held on April 4, 2020 at 7 a.m.

An early arrival is encouraged for the great spiritual experience, where Andy Andrews, a minister at the Church of Holy Trinity and Brian Crawford, a minister at City Light Church, will all be in appearance to hold a prayer. Music will be performed by Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church.

Individuals are asked to park on Confederate Avenue and join the event, which will be held at the top of Fort Hill.

Although Easter Sunrise will be held in person this year, there is still a mask mandate, so participants will need to wear a mask and follow social distance protocol.

The Vicksburg YMCA has held the Easter Sunrise for the past 71 years now and CEO Phillip Doiron continues to keep the tradition going.
