Yazoo Valley outage in the Redwood, Oak Ridge area

As of 5:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Yazoo Valley Electric Power is experiencing a significant outage in the Redwood, Oak Ridge areas.

Company officials are in the area attempting to locate the issue and resolve the problems. There is currently no estimate on when service will be restored.

We will provide updates as they become available.

[Update] There appears to be a dead tree on a line on Redwood Rd. All power is out. Power is expected to be restored shortly.
