Wreck on Nailor Road in Warren County

One person has been transported to Merit Health River Region Hospital with moderate injuries following a wreck at the 5900 block of Nailor Road in Warren County.

A sedan collided with a FedEx delivery truck just before 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. The driver of the sedan suffered moderate injuries, believed to have been minimized by the airbags in the vehicle. The FedEx driver escaped without injuries.

Warren County Deputy Robert Jackson is investigating along with Deputy Ron Nation. Engine 302 and Rescue also responded to the scene.

Avoid the area if possible.

Crash on U.S. Highway 61 South

Multiple first responders are on scene and en route to a two vehicle motor vehicle crash on Highway 61 South near Glass Road in the South bound lane.

The entire roadway is blocked as of 7:20 p.m. Sunday.

There are injuries in this crash. Please avoid the area.

Accident on Highway 3 affecting traffic in the area

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle crash on state Highway 3 just north of the main entrance to International Paper that occurred around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

There was a single occupant in the vehicle that is believed to have overturned multiple times, and injuries have been reported. It’s not clear how serious the injuries are.

Northeast Fire Chief Shane Garrard along with Fire Coordinator Jerry Briggs and Culkin Engine 202 are also on scene along with a Vicksburg Fire Medic unit.

Traffic is expected to be impacted in this area until around 4:30 p.m.

Traffic lights out at Pemberton Boulevard and Halls Ferry Road

Electrical work at Pemberton Boulevard and Halls Ferry Road will affect traffic for several hours Saturday.

Workers with Entergy are doing maintenance work that requires them to cut the power to traffic lights at the intersection. Vicksburg police are on hand and directing traffic.

The work will continue until at least 1 p.m. Saturday.

Please use caution in the area.
