Will Warren County be declared a COVID-19 hot spot?
Gov. Tate Reeves set the criteria for counties to be declared COVID-19 hot spots several weeks ago.
The two criteria are:
- 200 or more new cases in the last 14 days
- 500 cases per 100,000 residents
Warren County has met both of the two criteria.
As of Sunday, July 26, the county added 252 new cases in the past two weeks.
The cases per 100,000 stands at 1,880, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
