Vicksburg, Warren County and other area residents should be able to sign up for drive-thru COVID-19 vaccinations in Vicksburg beginning Monday.

At the beginning of the Warren County Board of Supervisors work session Monday morning, Warren County Emergency Management Director John Elfer said he anticipates area residents will be able to begin signing up later today for appointments beginning Monday, Feb. 1.

Elfer said about 200 doses per day will be administered on a tentative schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the drive-thru location set up at the rear (east) side of Uptown Vicksburg (formerly known as the Pemberton or Vicksburg mall) at 3505 Pemberton Blvd.

Lisa Buchanan in the WCEMA office has been coordinating area nurses to administer the vaccines. To schedule an appointment, visit the University of Mississippi Medical Center website-or call 877-978-6453.

For information on vaccines, visit the Mississippi State Health Department website. Any other questions or concerns, call the Warren County Emergency Management at 601-636-1544.
