WC girls and boys track teams had great success in the St. Andrews Invitational.

Warren Central High School boy’s and girl’s track team had a great meet at the St. Andrews Invitational. Below are the results of runners who finished in the top three:

Lady Vikes:

  1. Alex Lawson-1st place in the 100 m dash, 200 m dash, 400 m dash, and 2nd place in high jump.
  2. Alexis Jefferies-1st place in triple jump.
  3. Abby Hughes-2nd place shot put.
  4. Calise Henyard-1st place shot put and discus.
  5. Jadyn Hadnot-3rd place 100 m hurdles.
  6. Jae’la Smith-2nd place in 300 m hurdle.
  7. Keyondria Tarleton-3rd place triple jump
  8. Kristyn Williams- 3rd place in 100 m dash
  9. Makayla Mitchell-2nd place long jump.
  10. Ta’Mya Sims- 2nd place triple jump.

4X200 relay team 1st place members:

  1. Tamela Woods
  2. Jae’la Smith
  3. Keyondria Tarleton
  4. Kristyn Williams

4X400 team 2nd place members:

  1. Alexis Jefferies
  2. Kennedi Fitzgerald
  3. Taylor O’Leary
  4. Jasmine Banks

Boys track results:

  1. Ashton Murphy-3rd place 200 m dash.
  2. Samuel Terrett-2nd place 800 m run and 2nd place 3200 m run.
  3. Joshua Griffin-1st place 110 m hurdles and 1st place 300 m hurdles.
  4. Aron Murphy- 3rd place 110 m hurdles.

4X100 M relay 1st place members:

  1. Michael Reed

  4. Ashton Murphy

4X200 M relay 3rd place:

  1. Michael Reed
  2. Tevin Bell
  3. Michael Wash

4X400 m relay third place:

4X800 m relay 1st place:

  1. Samuel Andrews

High jump:

  1. Tevin Bell – 2nd place
  2. Daniel Williams – 3rd place

“Overall this was a very competitive meet for us on a cold Thursday evening.  I feel like my guys really got better last week during preparation for that meet. However, the following young men really shined at the meet on Thursday Tevin Bell, Joshua Griffin, Ashton Murphy, Erin Wash, Michael Reed and Samuel Terret. We will be heading over to Madison Central this Thursday for District competition.”
