Warren County closes section of Redwood Road

Warren County officials made the decision Friday afternoon to close Redwood Road from the 1500 block to the 1900 block.

The recent rainfall has undermined the roadway.

“Conditions are just too dangerous to keep this road open,” said Warren County Emergency Management Agency Director John Elfer at the scene.

Fixed barricades are being erected on either end of the closed section. Anyone caught going around the barricades will be cited for disregard of a traffic control device.

Officials are monitoring at least a dozen more areas that may have to be closed in the future.
