Warren County firefighters responded to a fully involved vehicle fire in the 5900 – 6000 block of Halls Ferry Road at 7:39 p.m. on Friday.
Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down. However, an equipment issue with engine 305 prolonged the task of eliminating the blaze.
A pump on the engine failed to function. Firefighter mechanic, Wendell Blair, arrived on scene to perform maintenance on the engine. Another unit quickly arrived to back up firefighters.
Telephone and cable lines above the vehicle are reported to have suffered severe damage due to the flames below. Services in the area may be impacted.
Expect delays if traveling this route as work crews may be in this area working to repair damaged lines.
