A 75-year-old Warren County woman declined transport to a medical facility following a single vehicle crash on Mallett Road at around 2:50 p.m. Thursday.

The woman’s vehicle landed on its side, and firefighters had to cut a portion of the roof of the GMC SUV to pull her out.

Warren County Fire Coordinator Jerry Briggs got inside the vehicle to keep the woman calm, while Vicksburg and Warren County firefighters worked together to get the woman out.

The area should be cleared before 4:30 p.m.

Vicksburg Fire Medic 80, Rescue, and LeTourneau Engine 602 responded to the crash. Deputy Robert Jackson is investigating the crash for the Sheriff’s Office. He was assisted at the scene by Deputy Shawn McElroy.
