Vicksburg woman dies in I-20 crash

A Vicksburg woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 20 early Friday morning.

Tashekia L. Scott, 28, died as a result of her injuries in a single-car accident near Bovina in Warren County around 2 a.m., reports WLBT.

Scott was traveling west on I-20 when she left the road in her 2017 Toyota Camry, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The car overturned, ejecting Scott, who was not wearing a seat belt.

MHP is investigating the crash, although they believe at this time that fatigue may have played a role.
