Kealon Bass stepped up and scored 13 points, while teammate Tyler Henderson finished with 10 to help VHS cruise pass the Arrows. Chris Green and Jaylin Jackson both scored 5 points each in the big win.

The Gators are coached by Julius Williams, who was excited to see his team give it their all and advance to the championship game.

“I’m just proud of how these kids have grown during the season and have overcame adversity from not having a summer workouts due to COVID,” Williams said. “They handled business on the court and in the classroom. They are the definition of student athletes, and they will continue to make the Vicksburg community proud. We just need to stay focused and play our game against a talented Germantown team.”

The Vicksburg High School ninth-grade boys team is undefeated this season. They travel Saturday to play Germantown at 12:15 p.m. at Madison Central High School.
