The board voted anonymously on the decision which will benefit a program that helps shelter women and children during emergency situations concerning domestic violence.

The Haven House has done tremendous work in the effort to end domestic violence in our community. Many families have benefited from their programs over the years and the city of Vicksburg is lucky to have people who are willing to fight for a good cause.

The board of Mayor and Alderman have now shown their support and stance against domestic violence by providing funds to assist the shelter which will definitely make this community stronger.
