Three members of the ERDC Office of Research and Technology Transfer were honored with Meritorious Civilian Service Medals.

Clare Huntley, Antisa Webb and Tim Raines all received honors for their roles in planning and hosting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Innovation Summit and Multi-Doman Operations demonstration.

The award was first established in 1987, approved by the U.S. Army Chief of Staff. It was first called the “Superior Civilian Service Award” but received a modification in November of 2014 through the Secretary of the Army and renamed “Meritorious Civilian Service Medal” – “in order to make their nomenclature more consistent with their military equivalents,” according to The Institute of Heraldry.

This award is one of the highest among civilian honors.
