Steve Dennis, 1948 – 2019

Steve was born on Oct. 3, 1948, in Vicksburg, Miss., to the late Paul and Mary Dennis.

After graduating from Delta State University in 1972, Steve went to work with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. During his 38-year career there, he held many management positions with his final position being director of complex claims. He was an active member of many prestigious insurance committees in the southeast region and very well respected in the insurance industry.

Steve enjoyed golfing, going to the beach and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and always put family first. He will be remembered for his genuine smile, infectious laugh and entertaining stories. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

He is preceeded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Dennis. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Dennis; his two daughters, Amy D’Alexander (Jim) of Atlanta, Ga., and KC Paulk (Stuart) of Columbia, S.C.; and his five grandchildren Ava, Cade and Mary D’Alexander, and Carson and Ethan Paulk; his brother Ronald Dennis (Helen) of Birmingham, Ala.; his nephews Ronald Dennis Jr., Michael Dennis (Sarah) and Cameron Dennis (Ashley); niece Ashley Bryant (Bud); sister in law JoAnn Smith (Woody); and many great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Dennis, Michael Dennis, Cameron Dennis, Jim D’Alexander, Stuart Paulk and Andy Gibson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ethan Paulk, Cade D’Alexander, Ken Grogan, Dean Andrews, Mike Corbin, Jerry Hall, John Chambers and John Prewitt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Felicia R. Kuhnert Logue, 1985 – 2020

Felicia R. Kuhnert Logue passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, at her home in Vicksburg, Miss., at the young age of 34.

She was born on February 22, 1985, in Vicksburg. She was preceded in death by her sister Lori Dawn Kuhnert, and grandparents Gillis McMahon, Mary Louise McMahon, and James McDuff.

She is survived by her children, Kaden Andrew Corsbie, Lori Isabella “Lily” Logue and Jack Steele. She is also survived by her mother Donna Griffin, stepfather Clay Griffin, sister Kaci Fife, stepsister Courtney Fife, and grandmother Shirley Love.

Felicia was raised mostly in Vicksburg but also lived in Haleyville, Ala., in her teenage and young adult years. She graduated high school in Haleyville and graduated from Hinds Community College as a registered nurse. She recently started a job at Vicksburg Nephrology. She loved her family and friends, as they do her!

Felicia was a beautiful, intelligent, woman with a bright future who was taken from us too soon. Her memory and the memory of her contagious smile will forever live on in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at 9 a.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 10 a.m.

Rev. Tony Monk will be officiating the service.

Steven John Whitehead, 1971 – 2020

Steven John Whitehead passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. He was 49 years old.

Steven was a life-long resident of Vicksburg, Miss. He was a member of Life Church in Vicksburg. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Samuel C. Whitehead.

He is survived by his wife Balinda Ashley Whitehead; sons John Whitehead, Leland Whitehead, Craig Vickers (Tiffany), Chad Vickers (Heatherly), Jonathan Whitley, and Jarret Whitley (Jori); brothers Donnie Whitehead, Michael Whitehead, Casey Whitehead, and Sam Whitehead, father Sandy Whitehead; mother Linda Evans; paternal grandmother Shirley Faye Whitehead; Tracie Nevels mother of Craig and Chad; grandchildren Makinzee, Laikynn, Jacob, Saylor, Jaxon, Jonah, Bexlie, Hayden, Nick, Nathan and Riley.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Life Church on Fisher Ferry Rd. from 1 until 2 p.m., and services will start at 2 p.m. with Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating.

Tensie Ernestine ‘Ernie’ Graham, 1927 – 2020

Tensie Ernestine “Ernie” Graham passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020. She was 93 years old.

Mrs. Graham was a member of Redbone United Methodist Church and also a member of Hyland Chapter 147 Order of Eastern Star. She loved classical music and played the violin for 25 years. She loved picture puzzles, knitting, crocheting, musical concerts and eating out. She lived for her family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband Miles T. Graham, parents O.J. and Tensie Cotton Peterson, sons Jerry D. Graham and John B. Graham.

She is survived by son Richard Graham and daughter Cynthia G. White, six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Evans officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Carlisle, Calvin Allen, Chester Day, Pete Dionne, Robert Graham and Miles White.
