St. Aloysius football struggled on Friday and they fell short of a victory against Greenville St. Joe in a 42-7 loss.
The Fighting Irish took control of the first half quickly and had a 28-0 lead at halftime.
The Flashes came out better in the third quarter as Lazaveon Sylvester caught a long touchdown pass from Carson Smith.
Defensively, Padre Gray, Jr. came up with a interception while Jack Gannon made multiple tackles. Josh Larsen came up with the sack.
The Fighting Irish still managed to stop the Flashes on multiple occasions and found their way into to end zone again before the ending of the game.
The Flashes will be at home next week when they face Tri-County.
