Warren Central High School football player Taylen Smith led the Vikings in tackles in last Friday’s Red Carpet Bowl.
The Vikings shutout the Vicksburg High Gators in a 17-0 victory. Smith had 15 tackles and a forced fumble on the night as he helped the Viking defense keep the Gators to 0 points.
Smith is the standout athlete for the Vikings, as he has been holding down the defense for the past couple of years for WC.
After having his team’s first two games canceled, Smith came out better than ever in the Red Carpet Bowl. He is expected to have a great season this year.
Smith will help lead the Vikings on the field Friday when they face Brandon at home at 7 p.m.
