Porter’s Chapel Academy basketball player Zyer Smith had a great game Tuesday as she helped the Eagles to a 60-39 win over Sharkey Issaquena Academy.

Smith had 17 points in the victory along with three steals. She came in second with the most points behind teammate Yakia Burns.

Smith is a Port Gibson High School transfer and is becoming a big key player for the Lady Eagles under head coach Casey Fisher. She is in her sophomore year and is continuing to improve every day at practice while preparing for her next match.

Smith and the Eagles will be at home Thursday at 6 p.m. to take on Franklin Academy.
