One charged with arson in overnight fire

David Morgan, has been arrested in connection to a camper fire that took place in the overnight hours at 4111 Washington Street, behind Riverside Construction.

Nathaniel Williams was in charge of the arson investigation for the Vicksburg Fire Department.

The fire was reported just after 11 p.m. on Monday, which sparked several units to respond and required a portion of Washington Street to be temporarily shut down.

Morgan is being charged with second degree arson in relation to the incident. He appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter on Tuesday where he received a $40,000 bond and was bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.
