Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin announced on Saturday he had a break-through case of COVID and will not be joining the team in Atlanta.

In a Twitter post, Kiffin stated developed the break-through case of COVID and had only experienced mild symptoms. After debating about getting tested for COVID, he finally did, which confirmed the diagnosis.

He went on to state there are no other cases to report and did not expect any team members to miss the game.

“We will continue to monitor our team closely and take responsible measures if any symptoms arise,” The statement read.

As a result, the coach will not be joining his team against Louisville in their season opener.
