Rashad Jerome Neal, 25, was sentenced Thursday on a pair of drug charges following his indictment in February.

Neal entered a guilty plea in front of Circuit Judge Toni Terrett who sentenced Neal to 25 years with five suspended for possession of methamphetamine and five years on a charge of sale of controlled substance. The sentences are to run consecutively.

The charges stem from an incident where Warren County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Neal on U.S. Highway 80 earlier this year. A subsequent search of his vehicle revealed he was in possession of 28 grams of the drug.

Assistant District Attorney Branan Southerland prosecuted the case on behalf of the Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
