Natchez among six U.S. cities selected for Christmas makeover

The city of Natchez received a beautiful gift of holiday cheer from an unexpected benefactor this year.
The streaming giant Netflix, in partnership with Blue Revolver Inc., donated a stunning display of Christmas lights that were installed on the 300 block of Main Street last week.
The installation was donated as part of the “Here for the Holidays” program in which Netflix chooses six cities across the country to receive festive holiday light displays each year.
“We don’t really know how Natchez got selected,” Mayor Dan Gibson said in a video that the City of Natchez shared to Facebook. “And it’s not costing the city a dime. Netflix is paying for all of this, and we just can’t say thank you enough.”
“The whole goal of it is just to bring holiday joy,” said Blue Revolver spokesman Michal Zarebinski.
Other cities that were chosen for the program this year are Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; Vallejo, California; Alton, Illinois; Augusta, Georgia; and Norman, Oklahoma.
