Summer McGee was sentenced on Tuesday morning to a 40-year sentence for the shooting death of Moses Luckett at New Main Apartments in May.
Tuesday morning, Judge Chaney issued a 40-year sentence with 30 years to serve, the remaining 10 years suspended to McGee. She will spend five years on post release supervision after her 30 year term.
In May, McGee and Luckett were involved in an altercation at a gas station at the corner of Mission 66. McGee later went to Luckett’s apartment and shot him in the chest when he answered the door. A second shot was fired through the door after it was closed.
McGee then fled the scene but was captured on State Highway 3 by Yazoo county deputies just north of the Warren County line.
