rd annual “Zero Tolerance” Youth Conference catered to middle and High School Students throughout the state on Tuesday, May 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Jackson State E-Center 1230 Raymond, Jackson, MS 39204. The goal of this effort is to educate students on the effects of alcohol and the consequences of related choices; as well as allow them the opportunity to develop a strategic plan to counteract the cycle of underage drinking in their communities. Speakers will be speaking on underage drinking prevention, minimal 21 drinking age law, consequences of consuming alcohol before 21 and “Zero Tolerance”. Some of the speakers that will be present are Mr. Marc Fomby of FTC Prevention Services, Mrs. Lou Ann Moore (a victim/survivor of a drinking and driving crash, Mr. Lou Writer (R&B recording Artist), Risque Business, and RecognitioN (R&B recording Artist). As we are all aware, alcohol is a gateway drug. This drug opens the door to many other drugs and drastic consequences. Underage drinking is prevalent in our society and MADD wants to partner with you to combat this terrible and preventable epidemic. There is no registration fee, however, pre-registration is REQUIRED!!! If you need additional information about the event or our services, please do not hesitate to call Shantay Griffith, MADD MS Youth Program Director, at 601.982.5668 or reply via email at [email protected]. The investment you make will certainly help to make the great state of Mississippi a safer place, as only together will we reach our goal to ELIMINATE UNDERAGE DRINKING!]]]]> ]]>
