RAYMOND – The Hinds Community College Lady Eagle soccer team rallied from behind to beat St. Charles 3-2 Sunday evening. This win marks the second regular season win for Hinds this season, moving their record to 2-1.
The match started off with a goal on a penalty kick from St. Charles in the 21st minute. Not even five minutes later, the Lady Eagles grabbed their first goal of the day when sophomore forward Hannah Herren (Florence) scored on an assist from Kristin Manning (Pearl).

St. Charles found the back of the net quickly in the second half, scoring a goal in the 49th minute. St. Charles held a one goal lead for the majority of the second half.
Down to under 15 minutes to play, the Lady Eagles needed a spark. In the 79th minute, sophomore midfielder Kaylee Hodges (Milton, Fla.) broke loose from the defense and scored a goal to tie the game up at two.
The Lady Eagles had ten minutes to score and put the game on ice. In the 88th minute, sophomore midfielder Anna McCool (Pearl) cashed in a goal of her own to give the Lady Eagles the late lead. This goal would be all Hinds needed to pick up their second regular season win of 2021.
