JPD searching for suspect accused of shooting teen and kidnapping child

Jackson police are searching for a man wanted for kidnapping a two-month old and shooting a teenager.

According to a report by WLBT, the incident occurred on Monday on Morton Avenue in Jackson.

Police say the suspect shot an 18-year-old female after she and his girlfriend had an altercation. Afterward, the two took a two-month old.

JPD states the child was later returned safely but the suspect is still being sought.
