An independent audit report of Vicksburg’s finances from 2020 shows the city to be in a strong financial position.

The report was conducted by Booker T. Camper, Jr. and shows the city’s assets in 2020 was $231.7 million, which is an increase from $231.6 million reported in 2019.

“Contributing to our strong financial position, the City’s general fund balance as a percent of operating revenues is 44.23%,” stated Mayor Flaggs. “This is just one more reason why we’ll continue budgeting 97% of the previous year’s budget going forward”
