The Helping Hand Family Pharmacy in Vicksburg was burglarized early Tuesday morning.

Law enforcement responded to the pharmacy, located at 1670 U.S. Highway 61 North, just after 4 a.m. Dec. 31.

The suspected burglars were driving a small, light colored or white SUV, and broke a door to gain access.

Warren County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm; however, the suspects were already gone when they arrived. Three suspects were apparently caught on the store video and were in-and-out within a minute.

The only missing item seems to be cough syrup with codeine.

Similar incidents were reported last night in Rankin and Madison counties, according to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, who said they have reason to believe the incidents are related.

The Mississippi Narcotics Bureau has been notified.
