Former University of Southern Mississippi basketball player Brittanny Dinkins has become a basketball celebrity overseas since graduating from the Southern Miss.

Dinkins played for the Golden Eagles from 2013 to 2017 where she started nearly every game and put up impressive numbers to lead her team to victory. Her senior season in 2016-2017 was her best season. Dinkins averaged 18.4 points per game and led the Golden Eagles to a 23-11 record.

Going undrafted in the 2017 WNBA draft, Dinkins signed with Keflavìk in Iceland where she made an immediate impact on the team. In January 2018, Dinkins helped her team win the Icelandic Basket Cup, scoring 16 points in the championship game.

She re-signed to Keflavík for the 2018 season, and the team won the championship again for the second straight year. The next season, Dinkins led the team to another championship appearance, but they lost in the finals against Valur.

After she averaged 28.8 points per game in the 2018/2019 season, Dinkins was named the Úrvalsdeild Foreign Player of the Year. She had a career high 51 points in October 2019 against Breiõablik.

Dinkins is a Miami, Fla., native where she was a McDonald’s All-American nominee and led Miami Norland High School to a 29-4 record.
