FBI Agent shot in the line of duty in Jackson

According to a report by WLBT, A Jackson FBI agent suffered a gunshot wound Saturday night while conducting an operation.

After calls of shots fired was phoned into the Jackson Police Department, officers located the suspect and pulled over the vehicle they were in. The suspect exited the vehicle and opened fire on police. The suspect then fled the scene and escaped.

An agent with the FBI Jackson Field Office was shot was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment and is reportedly in stable condition.
