Just after midnight Monday, Vicksburg Warren 911 received multiple calls of shots fired on Abraham Drive off of Paxton Road.
Upon arrival deputies found an 18 year old male in the roadway suffering from multiple gun shot wounds, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.
Vicksburg Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Merit Health River Region where Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey pronounced the victim dead.
Sheriff Pace said the victim’s identity is being withheld at this time as notifications are still being made. Investigator Sam Winchester is leading the investigation on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office.
