Deputy makes meth bust on the corner of Clay and Cherry streets in Vicksburg

At 10:30 a.m. today, Chief Deputy Billy Heggins with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office witnessed what he believed to be a drug exchange take place in a convenience store parking lot located on the corner of Clay and Cherry streets in Vicksburg.

Heggins witnessed Jaime McGuffie Tidwell, 43, get into a 2004 Taurus driven by Brandon Harper, 32.  Heggins noted that Tidwell made contact with Harper before entering the vehicle.

Eight grams of crystal methamphetamines valued at $350 were found in the vehicle. Harper was charged with possession of  crystal methamphetamines with intent to distribute. Tidwell was charged with conspiracy to possess a controlled substance.

Both Tidwell and Harper are being held in the Warren County Jail without bond tonight and will make their initial appearance in the Justice Court tomorrow.
