Daria Nosser Hood, 1952 – 2020

Daria Nosser Hood, 68, passed away July 21, 2020, at home after a lengthy illness.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., July 25, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Andy Andrews and Rev. David Elliott officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery after the service with the family.

A Vicksburg native, Daria attended H. V. Cooper High School and the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Daria was also a member of the Green Hills Garden Club, Junior Auxiliary of Vicksburg and the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity where she served as a member of the Flower Guild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete Joseph Nosser, Jr. and Ouida Warner Nosser, and a brother David Joseph “Rowdy” Nosser.

She is survived by her husband, William Allen Hood; a son, William Allen Hood, II “Will,” daughter-in-law Holley; two granddaughters Caroline McCollum and Kathryn Buchanan Simrall; two brothers Pete Joseph Nosser, III “Rocky” and Paul Warner Nosser; and one sister, Leigh Ann Nosser.

Pallbearers will be John Morgan Mims, Hunter McWright, Blake Nasif, Reagan Nosser, Jared Hosey and Chris Johnson.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rainbow Farms Riding Center or a charity of your choice.
