Multiple Warren County fire units are battling a brush fire on U.S. Highway 61 South near the county line. The fire is hemmed in by the highway and water from the Big Black River.
The call came into Vicksburg Warren 911 at around 2:45 p.m.
Traffic is expected to be affected in the area until around 4 p.m. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is on the way to assist with traffic.
Units on scene include Fire Coordinator Jerry Briggs (CF-110), Shane Garrard (CF-111), Steven Cunningham (CF-311) and others. Fire apparatus on scene includes Engine 306 (Fisher Ferry) and Engine 60 (LeTourneau).
