Catch a movie classic at the Strand this Saturday

The Strand Theatre (717 Clay St., Vicksburg) presents a one-time showing of the classic film “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” this Saturday, August 3, at 7 p.m.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford are perfectly cast as the outlaw buddies running for their lives after one too many train robberies while not exactly sure who’s chasing them. The 1969 film won four Academy Awards and a Golden Globe Award among numerous others honors. Katherine Ross co-stars as the Kid’s paramour.

Buy tickets in advance at the Highway 61 Coffeehouse (1101 Washington St., Vicksburg). $6 in advance; $8 at the door.
