Three young Vicksburg men got caught, quite literally, in the storm Monday night when they entered a roadway covered in water on Sky Farm near Mission 66. Their car stalled and water began flooding into the floorboard of the vehicle.
They climbed out of the vehicle and called 911 for assistance. No one was injured, however, it was a scary few minutes waiting for help to arrive as the waters continued to rise.
Remember: turn around, don’t drown. Never drive through a flooded roadway. According to FEMA, six inches of water will reach the bottom of most cars, causing you to lose control and potentially cause stalling.
