The City of Vicksburg honored firefighter Vernon Wolfe Sr. Wednesday at a meeting of the Board of the Mayor and Aldermen for his 20 years of service.
Wolfe came to work for the Vicksburg Fire Department in 2001 and has been proudly serving since. He is known for being a great leader and captain who cares very much for his department and team.
“Captain Vernon Wolfe is a strong supervisor who cares about the Vicksburg Fire Department,” Fire Chief Craig Danczyk said. “He is a good teammate and mentors new employees as they learn the system. Captain Wolfe is someone we can depend on and is a pleasure to work with.”
The citizens of Vicksburg appreciate all of the hard work that Wolfe has put in over the years and wish him well as he continues to strive within the VFD.
