Vicksburg native Buff Harris has been working hard over the recent years to help keep individuals in Vicksburg healthy.

Born and raised in Vicksburg, Harris always found a way to stay in shape and healthy by weight training and cardio. He first started in his pre-teens when he found a gym that would fit his fitness needs.

“Even though I always active, I started lifting when I was only 12 years old,” Harris said.

By 2013, Harris held his first fitness boot camp called BUFFCAMP where he pushed his clients to meet their goals they set out for themselves.

“I started training people to be the best version of themselves they could be because exercising the body is like therapy to the soul,” Harris said.

During the BUFFCAMP, he demonstrated the importance of diet and healthy living to his clients where they trusted him to lead the way. He taught them to reach for their goals one step at a time in order to have a happy, healthy, and fit life.

Harris has a reputation around Vicksburg for getting his clients positive results, and one of his most successful clients was Cynthia Gibson who lost 165 pounds in five months.

Although Harris is successful in the training that he does, he also gives the credit to those who are the closest to him.

“All my credit goes to God and my children because they make me want to be a better man and strive me to push myself beyond my potential,” Harris said.

Harris is also doing a boot camp from June 14 to July 6 at the Jackson Street Gym and the price will be $160.00.

If anyone is interested in getting trained by Harris they can contact him on his Facebook page or call 769-203-0282.
