B.O.L.O.-Escaped Murderer

PIKEVILLE – Agents with the Department of Correction Internal Affairs Division are searching for a minimum-custody inmate who escaped from the Southeastern Tennessee State Regional Correctional Facility in Bledsoe County Sunday afternoon. Inmate Garland Godsey, 44, had been working as a trusty on state property surrounding the prison when he escaped late in the afternoon.  Godsey was serving a 25-year sentence for a second-degree murder conviction out of Cumberland County.  His sentence would have expired in 2018. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of escapee Garland Godsey should contact the Tennessee Department of Correction Internal Affairs Office at (615) 741-7144.
