VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News)–Vicksburg native Nick Anderson has been named to the Wuerffel Trophy watch list after putting in plenty of work on the football field for the University of Tulane.
The award is given to players to honor them for their community service along with being a positive leader in the community and will be handed out in February in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Anderson is highly known for his service and leadership in both the classroom and the football field. The student-athlete has managed to maintain a 3.7 grade point average.
Anderson and Tulane will kick off their football season against Oklahoma on September 4.
