Alcorn State University football will travel to face Southern University in Baton Rouge on Saturday in hopes of remaining undefeated in the SWAC.

So far, the Braves stand at a 5-2 record and 4-0 in the SWAC while continuing to aim for another title. The team has defeated their competition in the last four games under head coach Fred McNair.

Quarterback Felix Harper is coming off a four touchdown performance where the offense had their highest score all season with a 44-27 win over Texas Southern last Saturday

Alcorn is moving at an impressive rate considering the fact that the team missed the entire 2020 season due to COVID-19.

A SWAC Championship is always the goal for the Braves, but they first must take care of business starting with the Jaguars Saturday night.

The game will kick off at 6 p.m. and VDN will provide updates.
