The Vicksburg Health Network is hosting its 5th annual Well-o-Ween health fair Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Medical Associates Building, 2080 South Frontage Road. The event includes music, door prizes, free blood pressure checks, glucose checks and more.
“It’s pretty much health-care centered,” said Lindsay Lynn with the Vicksburg Health Network. “It’s all of the nursing homes, home-health, wound-care centers, therapists and just different things in the community that are available to people in our community and surrounding areas.”
Each year the event expands and welcomes in more guests.
“We bring people in from all over,” Lynn said. “People come from Rolling Fork, Natchez and Jackson. Usually we have about 150 people show up, and we grow a bit each year.”
This year there will be activities and fun available for everyone to enjoy.
“We have the radio station coming, and Ralph Miller is set to perform,” Lynn said. “We wear costumes, pass out candy… It’s just a fun event that we all look forward to every year.”
The event is completely free for attendees. Vendor spots are available for $40 and can be purchased by emailing Lynn at [email protected].
“It’s really fun for all ages,” she said.
